This is a family business, where we all play with both writing and illustrating.

We belong to several professional organizations, including the Children's Book Council (CBC), the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), the Midwest Independent Booksellers Association (MIBA), the Midwest Independent Publishing Association (MIPA), and the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association (SFWA).

We create stories for kids of all ages, and we thoroughly enjoy the letters that arrive from children, teachers, parents, and grandparents around the world.

We feel grateful that our books have received medals or finalist positions in the IBPA Benjamin Franklin Awards, the Foreword INDIES, the Mom's Choice Awards, the Moonbeam Children's Book Awards, the Eric Hoffer Awards, the Wishing Shelf Book Awards, the Next Generation Indie Book Awards, the National Indie Excellence Awards, the American Book Fest Best Book Awards, and the Shelf Unbound Writing Competition.

One of our books was also selected for the 2021 Best STEM Books list, a joint project of the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) and the Children's Book Council.

We started when we were kids, making simple books with crayons, tape, and construction paper. Our mom encouraged us by saying, “Oh, this is good!” We suspect she was trying to keep us out of her hair because she would always add, “Make another one!”
